A Home for Your Daily Life. A Future for Oakland’s History.

Civic Infrastructure, Not Exclusivity

Acorn Club isn't a private club—it’s a social enterprise. We are building a model that prioritizes long-term stewardship over luxury pricing, designed to be financially sustainable and accessible to the Oakland community.

Civic infrastructure is a term people use in urban planning, and it can sound abstract. But what it really means is simple: the places that make daily life in a city work. Libraries are civic infrastructure. Parks are civic infrastructure. The corner store where everybody knows your name is civic infrastructure, even if nobody calls it that. What Oakland is missing right now is a different kind of civic infrastructure—a place that’s designed for the full rhythm of a day, not just one piece of it. A place where you can work in the morning, take a class at lunch, have a good meal in the evening, and feel like you belong to something durable rather than just passing through a series of transactions.

Acorn Club is a mixed-use social enterprise seeking a space to create a durable, integrated hub for work, wellness, and community.
